On Monday, March 24, 2025, our hearts were saddened by the passing of our mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Carolyn Marie Walker of Prince George, Virginia, at her residence. She was born May 12, 1971, to the late Lawrence Walker, Sr. and Virginia Walker in Petersburg, Virginia. She was preceded in death by two brothers, David Walker and Lawrence Walker, Jr., and one sister, Dorothy Blanche.

She attended Dinwiddie County Public Schools and received her GED in 1994.

Carolyn was a strong woman who cared and looked out for others. She had an infectious smile that would brighten up any room. Her greatest love were her children and grandchildren they were her world.

Left to cherish Carolyn's memories are her mother, Virginia P. Walker; daughters, Dawnte Walker and Bridgett Walker; sons, Darianne Walker, Brandon Walker and Darnell Walker; sisters, Mary Walker, Joyce Gerren (Odius), Esther Robinson (Jerome); brother, Joseph Walker; sister-in law, Shelia Walker; aunt, Erline LeSane; grandchildren, Niya, Faith, Theo and Nate; several nieces and nephews among them devoted Victoria Walker Bush and future son-in-law, Ryan Dudley.  Carolyn also leaves behind many extended friends and family.

The family would like to extend a special sincere thank you to Crater Community Hospice for the care they provided to our loved one.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 31, 2025, at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, 6009 Rocky Branch Road, Sutherland, VA, the Rev. Corey T. Bland, Pastor and Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Anderson, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
