Obituary

Barbara Jean Stell Siegle, 80, passed away on August 21, 2025, in Prince George, Virginia, surrounded by her daughters and family, shortly after a terminal diagnosis.

Born on August 4, 1945, in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of Micajah and Norma Stell. After her mother, Norma, remarried, Paul Moore lovingly raised and supported Barbara throughout her life as one of his own. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Leslie Stell and Lee Stell, as well as her stepbrother Paul Moore, and is survived by her brother, Kenny Stell, as well as stepsiblings Linda Hass, Jimmy Moore, and Brenda Gray.

Her family, her greatest pride and joy, will continue her legacy and hold her memory in love.

She is survived by her daughters and their families:
•  Kathy and Mike Pond; their children, J.C. and Jade Pond with great-granddaughter, Allie; and Kyler and Brandi with great-grandson Tristian.

•    Karen Jones and Steven Hull.

•    Kim and Kristen Hart; their children, Amelia and Sear Baluch, Moustafa "Mushy" Kakar, Matthew Horn, and Maia Horn.

•    Kelly and Michael Vasiloff; their children, Kristia and River Vasiloff, and Deo Vasiloff.

Barbara was overjoyed to learn of two more great-grandchildren expected in December 2025, a blessing she celebrated with excitement.

She cherished lifelong friendships that enriched her journey and remained a source of comfort and joy throughout her years. Of all her accomplishments, Barbara's greatest legacy is the love she poured into her relationships. She embraced each of her loved ones for who they were, offering unconditional support, encouragement, and acceptance. Through every stage of life, she modeled strength, grace, and forgiveness, leaving behind lessons her family will carry forever.

The Memorial Service will be September 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Hopewell Methodist Church, 6200 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832.  Friends and family are invited to gather at Kathy's house immediately following the Memorial Service.
