Mrs. Annie Mae Jackson, 80 years old, of Petersburg, VA, departed this life on August 5, 2025, at her residence.  Affectionately known as "Mae," was born December 13, 1944, in Dinwiddie County, Virgina to Sadie Ridley Brown and Walter Ed Brown.

She attended Brunswick County High School. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Annie was employed for Glenda Jean for several years until she moved her seamstress talents to Mastex LLC, Prince George, VA. Annie also enjoyed cooking, sewing and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Jackson; son, Anthony "Leon" Jackson; parents, Sadie Ridley Brown and Walter Ed Brown; and her two sisters and four brothers.

Annie leaves loving and lasting memories to her daughter, Yolanda C. Jackson; grandchildren, Sade Jackson, Jonté Jackson and Gemonta Jackson; great grandchildren, Khámari Jackson, Jah'quece Jackson, Skylar Jackson-Jones and Alaya Jackson; sisters, Margaret Johnson and Shirley Ridgeway (James) both of Washington DC, Jean Brown of Petersburg, Virginia and Inell Green of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law, Doris Robinson and brother-in-law, John E. Jackson both of King William County, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Alexander Williams, eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
