Annette E.
White
Sep 22, 1960 — Jul 13, 2026
Annette White, age 65, fell asleep in death on Monday, July 13, 2026, after a courageous and faithful battle with metastatic breast cancer. Throughout her illness, just as in her life, Annette demonstrated a quiet resilience and an unwavering spirit.
Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, on September 22, 1960, Annette was the cherished daughter of Eunice Tucker Hill and the late Philip Hill, Sr.
A Life of Faith and Creative Passion
Annette's life was defined by her deep love for her Creator, Jehovah. As a dedicated, long-time member of the Halifax Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, her faith was her anchor. Even as her health declined, her devotion never wavered; she made it a priority to attend congregation meetings on Zoom and stream every assembly and convention program. She found immense comfort in the Bible's promise at Revelation 21:3,4:
"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Annette was a vibrant soul who expressed her joy through her hands and her eye for beauty. She had a passion for decorating, arts, flowers, and all kinds of crafts. She also possessed a deep love for jewelry, beautifully fostering that same passion in her family and friends over the years. Annette was known to be a fighter—stubborn when she needed to be—but that determination was always completely overshadowed by her massive heart. She possessed a deep, selfless love for people and was always willing to do absolutely anything for those she held dear.
Alongside her family, Annette shared a lifetime of memories with her dearest, lifelong friend, Marcia Lamb Pope, who was her true "ride-or-die" from the days before her daughter was even born.
Her Legacy of Family
Annette's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted only child, her daughter, Mia (White) Page, and her son-in-law, Jeffrey Page. She also held a very special place in her heart for Jordan and Lauren White (the children of her former husband, Clarence White), loving them deeply as her own.
She is survived by her loving mother, Eunice Tucker Hill, and her dear siblings, Arthur Hill (Sabrina), Brenda Lee Hill, Suzette Hill, Randy Hill, Paul Hill, an Valerie Massenburg (Edward).
Annette was preceded in death by her beloved father, Philip Hill, Sr., and her dear sister, Renee Hill.
Her love also lives on through a large, cherished host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who brought immense joy to her life: Cierral Massenburg (and her children Makiyah, Madrek, and Macari), Pia Massenburg, Nocosia Hill (and her children Jaeshaun Williams, Jhase Taylor, Jhani Hill, and Riley Hill), Zodora Hill (and her children Zamiyah Lyons, Zamirah Hill, and Zameelah Lyons), Dajonna Hill (and her children Canae Hill, Calean Hill, and Dayon Hill), Paris Hill (and her children Tavion Hill and Londyn Hill), Gregory Hill (and his children Kordae McKray and Gregory Hill, Jr.), Tierral Hill, Philip Hill, Jr. (and his children Ty'Kera Hill and her son Wendal Hatch), Ty'Vion Hill, and Camron Paul, Channel Winston (and her son Jordan Matheny), Brittany Winston (and her sons JaVion and JahZier Johnson), Ariel Hill (and her children Arianna Ward and Aubrie Hill) and Celena Hill (and her son MarReion Abrams).
Annette's family and friends look forward to the fulfillment of the hope she held so dear—to welcome her back in the resurrection, healthy, vibrant, and surrounded by the beautiful creations she loved so much.
