Andre C. Scott

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andre C. Scott, a man whose courage and strength touched the lives of everyone who loved him. Andre possessed a brave spirit and a heart of gold. He faced life with determination, even in times of struggle, leaving behind memories that his family will cherish forever.

Throughout his career, Andre worked in various warehouse roles and held multiple titles. His most recent employment was with Maruchan Noodle Company, where he served as a forklift driver.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sallie White and Thelma Thomas.

Andre leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Andre Scott, Jr., Arnasia Scott, D’Quez McLaughlin Kymire; and a bonus son whom he loved as his own, Lonniel Edmunds III. He also leaves to cherish his memories the love of his life, his mother, Valerie Scott Brown; his father, Theodore Thomas III; his stepfather, Richard Brown; grandfather, Lenward White; three brothers, Tyquan Scott, Jawuan White, and Terrance Jones; a brother and sister bonded by love, Devon Fitzgerald and Felecia Perry; three aunts, Darlene Thomas, Mildred Holtz (Laverle), and Tracy White; two uncles, Antonio White and Clinton White (Jennifer); great aunts, Joyce Scott, Dorothy Steward, Phenoris Hurt and Tauhedah Abdullah; great uncles, Anthony Hurt (Shelia), Ronnie Hurt; a bonus aunt, Sylvia Nelson; several nieces and nephews, Tyquan and Dreon Scott, Kyree, Cameron, Cayden, Cassidy, Sophia, Terrance Jr. and Asia, Antoine “Mann SaRai”, HiKeim “ButtButt”; numerous cousins just to name a few, Natasha White, Derazz White, Pamela Holtz, Tarvaris Holtz, Taijerae Miller, Eugenia Thomas (Dewayne), Shanika Scott, Kelly and Kenny Thomas, Derek Castelle, Kayla White, JaKiya White, Derrell White, Jr., Jahiem White, Christopher Brown, Marc Blizzard, Shaniya Scott, and Andrea Brown, amongst those two like his sisters, Jawanda Bugg and Renita Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Third Baptist Church, 550 Farmer Street, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Kassandra Bullock, Pastor. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

Viewing for Mr. Scott will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
