Obituary

Amy L. McQuage Albert, 56, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, at 5:47 P.M. at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, VA surrounded by her loved ones.

Amy was born on February 10, 1970, in Petersburg, Virginia as the youngest daughter of Thomas Joseph McQuage and Nancy Leonard McQuage.

Amy attended Prince George High School and worked hard until finally settling down after marriage to be a devoted homemaker and raise her only daughter. She loved baking and was best renowned for her delicious cheesecakes that would be a coveted staple at every holiday gathering. Her voice was powerful and beautiful, and she sang at many loved one's weddings including her own and she continues to sing now in heaven. She was a rocker at heart who made countless lifelong friends due to her proud, confident, lively and stubborn personality.

Amy was a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife and a mother. She is survived by her daughter, Tristan Elaine Albert; mother, Nancy Leonard McQuage; her older sisters, Patricia McQuage Sulc and Sandra McQuage Wrenn; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly. Anyone who knew Amy loved her and will remember her every day for her kind heart and gorgeous smile.

She will join her father in heaven, as well as her husband, David Richard Albert after only spending one month apart. Their love was too strong to be separated any longer after being married for twenty-six years and best friends for even longer. They will be together forevermore watching over their daughter; their quoted "greatest achievement", as she lives the rest of her life to its fullest as to honor her parents until it is time to see them again.

We will have a celebration of life for Amy and Dave together as they wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
