Obituary

Forty-one years ago, God loaned us one of His precious jewels. With heavy hearts yet grateful spirits, we announce that God, in His infinite wisdom called, Alicia Dionne Jones, affectionately known as "Tink", from life on earth to eternal rest on Friday, December 12, 2025. She passed unexpectedly and peacefully at her residence.

She was predeceased by her aunt, Bernadette Jones; uncle, Sherman Henderson; cousins, Joyce Ann Massenburg, Reggie "Mino" Jones, Kevin Jones, and Hosea Holcomb III.

Tink was a devoted daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, and very family oriented. She was known for her infectious smile and unwavering kindness. Tink received her early Christian foundation at Emmanuel Worship Center, Petersburg, Virginia under the leadership of the late Pastor Joseph P. Green. Tink was a product of Petersburg Public Schools. She was a dedicated employee of Southern Food Management in Fort Lee, Virginia for 17 years. The most commemorative highlight about Tink was the strong bond she established with her mother. Tink's mother was the epitome of her heart and the essence of her being. The love she exuberated for her mother had no bounds. During Tink's entire life, she walked beside her mother in love and grace. No language can express a daughter's love she exemplified for her mother. Tink was a direct reflection of Exodus 20:12. She lived her life by a compass not a clock. Wanderlust was her passion and she had an adventurous spirit for traveling. Also, she cherished having fun. Tink's life was a rich tapestry of love, laughter, and finding joy in the little things.

To cherish her memories is her devoted mother, Paula Jones of Petersburg, Virginia; devoted father, Felix Henderson of Petersburg, Virginia; beloved brother, Adonis Jones (Latanya Williams); maternal aunts, Vanesta Clanton (Glenn), Darlene Gibbs (Dallas), Cassandra Jones (who played a pivotal role in her upbringing), Gwendolyn Jones, Paulette Allen, Brenda Battle, and Catherine Jones; maternal uncle, Reginald "Jack" Jones; paternal aunts, Shelia Henderson and Bonita Henderson; paternal uncle, Maurice Henderson; a cherished daughter-like figure, Ja'Keirra Jones; and her god-daughter, Laziyah Hill.
