Reverend Dr. Alice Wyche, 84, of Petersburg, Virginia, departed this life on April 21, 2026, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia. She was born March 10, 1942, to the late Richard Wyche and Catherine Inez Dennis Wyche in Prince George, Virginia.

She attended J. E. J. Moore High School, John Tyler Community College, Richard Bland College, Living Waters Biblical Institute, and Friends International Christian University. She was a member of her Good Shepherd Baptist Church, and she served as the first women Minister at  Pocahontas Chapel.

Reverend Wyche was employed at Southside Virginia Training Center, Robert E. Lee Elementary School (Teacher), and CARES Women's Shelter as a Domestic Violence Counselor. She also volunteered at TRIAD as Senior Service volunteer.

Reverend Wyche spare time activities including journaling, biblical studies, counseling married couples, traveling, spending time with family and friends and a fashion vendor at Crockett's Flea Market.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stander Wyche.

Reverend Wyche leaves to cherish her children, Pamela Miller, Catherine Wright, Matthew Pegram, Jr., Jade Pegram (Wanda Sprull), and Shoncy Beaufort (Milton); god-daughter, Brenda Banks; grandchildren, Noah Wright, Adam Wright, Joshua Washington, Jadell Anderson, Joseph Miller III and numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Elnora Wyche Carter, Lottie Wyche Peterson, Mary Wyche Chatman (Pete) and Richetta Wyche Graves; devoted friend, Irene Gilliam; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, VA, Bishop Jeffrey L. Reaves, Sr., eulogist.

Family and friends will assemble 10:15 A.M, the day of the services at the funeral establishment.
