Alexander McKay Lewis, better known as “Squeally”, was called to come home September 29, 2026. He was born to William Lewis, Sr. and Joyce Lewis on June 6,1973.
Alexander attended Chesterfield County Public Schools where he also played football from little league to high school. Squeally had life of tribulations, and he overcame each of them with the love of his family and God’s hand. He showed up for family and friends’ birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations, right on the dance floor having a good time. Whenever he came into the room, you knew it was him because he would drag out, “Cuz” the loudest. If you knew he well, you know he had to begin his day with his “starter pack” (if you know, you know). Squeally had a personality that was all his own and that light will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Lewis, Sr.; his great grandparents, Lafayette and Susie Turner; his grandparents, Elbert Turner, Sr. and Marie L. Turner; Samuel Lewis, Sr. and Laura-ette Lewis; his aunts, Hazel Turner and Pinky Harris; his uncles, Ralph Turner, Sr., Steve Turner and Samuel Lewis Jr.; his uncle and aunt, Byron and Maxine Brown; his nephew, William Lewis III; and his niece, Kalynn Jordan.
Squeally is survived by his mother, Joyce T Lewis; his brother, William C. Lewis, Jr.; his sister, Tonya M. Lewis; his aunts, Dale Turner, Shirley Jones, Suzanne Cooper (Donald), Geneva Giles (James), Everlene Jones (James), Maretha Mosby, Daisy Duncan, Brenda Marable and Earlene Turner; uncles, Elbert Turner, Jr. (Virginia), Tony Turner and Adam Turner; nieces, Chriszhae Jones, Kayla Jordan and Corin Jordan; nephews, Kenyon Lewis, Justin Lewis, Chris Jones, Charles Blount, Jr. and William C. Lewis IV; his caretaker and loving cousin, Sandra Mosby; his little best friend, Daechelle Granderson; his road dog and riding partner, Tommy Lias; and a host of cousins and friends that loved him so much.
